Okay - first of all this is a totally MANUAL lens, with no electrical contacts to the camera. It is manual focus, and aperture. But with such a small focal length comes massive depth of field and so focussing is not critical. I previously had a Samyang 10mm f2.8, with a Canon EF-S mount, which wouldn't work on my Canon R7 with the Canon EF/RF adapter. I use ultra wide-angle a lot, and so decided I 'needed' this lens! It is smaller and more compact than my Samyang, and all the control rings feel nice and smooth. It's reassuringly heavy and solid feeling so it feels like a quality lens, which it is. Optically it's absulutely fine for everything I do - and unless you are pixel-peeping every time you won't be disappointed at all. It is sharp and the contrast is good. Even the lens flares look okay to me. At less than £180 can you afford NOT to buy this lens, given how good/versatile it is?
